Rx insert
How it works
A bracket built into the frame
Our sunglasses were engineered with a built-in bracket that lets the Rx insert clip straight in. The bracket is very small. It sits inside the nose tip.
The insert is lightweight polycarbonate with rubber bands on the sides. This dampens vibration and keeps your prescription stable while you ride.
Getting your prescription in the insert
We don't produce or attach the prescription at GVTY. That step is handled by a third-party optician of your choice.
The easiest, cheapest and fastest route is usually your own optician. Bring them the insert and ask:
"I've got an Rx insert for a pair of cycling sunglasses. This insert is quite a bit smaller than a regular pair of glasses. Can you produce custom lenses with my prescription and attach them to my insert?"
- Prefer an online service? Email us at info@gvty.ca and we'll refer you to an optician that offers this by mail.
- Ask for lightweight lenses if they're available.
If your Rx insert ever breaks, we'll send you one free of charge. You just cover the shipping.
We don't cover any costs associated with Rx inserts. Our warranty doesn't cover your Rx insert prescriptions.
